Have you ever looked back at a season of your life and realized you were using the phrase, "We had hoped"?

In Luke 24, we find two disciples walking the road to Emmaus, their hearts heavy with grief. They were mourning the death of Jesus, and they said those exact words: "We had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel." They were speaking in the past tense. To them, hope was a memory. Hope was buried in a tomb.

The beautiful irony of the story is that as they were grieving the "loss" of their hope, Hope Himself was walking right next to them. They just didn't recognize Him yet.

Maybe you’re coming into this spring season feeling a bit like those disciples. Maybe you’re looking at a situation in your family, your career, or your health and saying, "I had hoped things would be different." If that’s you, we have incredible news: Hope is not a memory. Hope is a Person, and He is alive.

This Easter at The Heart LA, we are celebrating the truth that the tomb is empty, the conversation isn't over, and because Jesus lives, Hope is Alive.

Good Friday Service

  • What: A reflective, powerful service as we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

Easter Sunday Services

  • When: April 5th at 9:30 am & 11:00 am
  • What: A high-energy celebration of the Resurrection! Come as you are and expect to be encouraged.

Something for the Whole Family

Heart Kids We believe Easter should be the best day of the week for your kids, too! Our Heart Kids program will be running during both the 9:30 am and 11:00 am services for children ages 6 weeks through 5th grade. They’ll have their own "Hope is Alive" experience with age-appropriate lessons, music, and fun.

The After Party The celebration doesn't end when the service does! Stick around after both services for our Easter After Party. We’ll have:

  • Food & Refreshments
  • Photo Booths (get that perfect family Easter photo!)
  • Activities

The Grand Egg Hunt If you have little ones, you won’t want to miss the Special Easter Egg Hunt! It will take place immediately following the 11:00 am service (approximately 12:30 pm). It’s going to be a blast for the kids and a great way to wrap up the day.

You Are Invited

Whether you’ve been a part of a church your whole life or you haven’t stepped foot in one in years, there is a seat for you at The Heart LA.

The disciples on the road to Emmaus started their walk in despair, but they ended it with hearts "burning within them" because they realized Jesus was alive. Our prayer is that you leave our church on April 5th with that same burning hope.

Hope is alive. And He is waiting to meet you right where you are.
