There are so many good churches in the world today! Did you know that Jesus himself started the church (Matthew 16:18)! All the more reason, why we should be part of a local church. If you find yourself in a hard time or struggling, give God a chance! There are many great Bible-believing and Jesus-centered churches that are typically open on Sunday mornings.
Our church is called The Heart LA Church and we are located right in the city of Los Angeles. However, there are MANY great churches in our beautiful city. Oasis LA, Zoe Church, Fearless LA, and Ignite LA are all friends of ours! Any of these would be a great spot to check out depending on where you live.
Reasons Why You Should Find a Church
Here’s the thing. The truth is, we only know the scoop about our church…The Heart LA Church. So we are going to give you five reasons why we think attending our church would be beneficial to your life. (I would assume these answers are going to apply to a lot of the great churches I mentioned earlier!) So, find a church near you!
#1: There is community when you find a church.
When you find a church, there is a built-in community that you get to be part of. We were created to be in relationship with other people. When you go to church, you get to connect with other people of like-minded faith who are on a journey towards God as well.
At our church, we provide small groups or small group ministries. There are all different kinds of small groups that you can join. In fact, we are launching fall small groups this month!

#2: The people in a church can provide protection.
There are always those times in your life where you need a helping hand. Whether you are moving to a new apartment or someone in your family is sick, a church community provides the protection you need. Especially when you are going through something hard yourself like an illness or financial crisis, the church body is there to pray for you and encourage you.
Believe me, you need the support!
#3: Heart Kids is an amazing place for kids!
At The Heart LA Church, we have something called Heart Kids! We believe in the next generation! We have created a special service just for them where they will be safe and learn about Jesus! Not to mention, they will have a BLAST while doing it.
In our 9:30 am service, we have classes for preschool and nursery-aged children. In our 11:00 am service, we have classes for preschool, nursery, and elementary.
#4: We have options!
Starting in September, we now have TWO SERVICES! Whether you like to get up early or you want to sleep in, you can still come to church. Join us for either one of our two identical services. You can even stay for both and volunteer if you would like to join the Dream Team.
This is one way we give back. Just like Jesus came to serve others (Matthew 20:28), so we should serve others as well.
#5: You can grow in your walk with God.
We believe when you find a church that you can call family, you will grow in your walk with God. Every Sunday morning you have an opportunity to experience the presence of God through worship and the preaching of the Word of God. There is also accountability when you attend church. There are people there who care for you and will reach out to you to make sure you are doing good. What a great community!

Q: Is there parking at your church?
A: Yes!!!! We have a parking lot right behind our building. You can enter Detroit or Cloverdale. On Sunday, the parking is FREE for anyone attending church.
