Need Supplies for the Upcoming School Year?
As summer winds down, the back-to-school season can be a stressful time for many families. Between shopping for supplies, new clothes, and shoes, the expenses can quickly pile up — especially for families with multiple children. We want to help ease that burden and make sure every child starts the year with confidence, dignity, and everything they need to succeed.
At The Heart LA, we believe in having a hear for the city — and this event is just one of the ways we get to love and serve our neighbors. That’s why we’re thrilled to offer brand new shoes and backpacks filled with school supplies for all school-aged children who attend.
Whether you’re a member of The Heart, a friend of the church, or completely new to our community, this event is for YOU. Bring the whole family and enjoy a fun, welcoming environment where kids can get ready for school — and parents can breathe a little easier.

We’ll need helping hands in all kinds of roles at our Back to School event — from setting up and greeting families, to distributing shoes and supplies, to keeping the energy high throughout the evening.
To prepare our team well, we’re hosting a Volunteer Training on Sunday, June 22 at 12:30 PM at The Heart LA Church. This will be a great chance to meet other volunteers, learn what to expect, and get excited about what God is going to do through this event. The training is not required to serve at the event.
On the day of event, volunteers need to arrive by 5:30 pm for a short Volunteer Rally!

Q: Where do we park?
A: We have a parking lot located behind our building. There is also street parking in the area.
Q: When can we arrive?
A: If you are serving, we will have a Volunteer Rally at 5:30 pm. If you are coming to receive, you can line up as early as 5 pm.
Q: Am I guaranteed shoes and a backpack?
A: Sadly, no. We will give out shoes and backpacks while supplies lasts. Come early to get in line. Coffee will be provided while you wait!
