This summer, we’re launching a fresh season of groups designed to help you take the next step in your spiritual journey.

#1: Groups Are a Great Way to Make New Friends

Los Angeles can feel overwhelming at times—especially if you’re new or searching for meaningful community. But when you join a group at The Heart LA, you’re instantly connected with people who want to get to know you. One study says it takes just seven friendships to feel like you truly belong somewhere. Groups help you find those friendships faster.
If you’re following Jesus, joining a small group is a powerful step. It’s a space filled with people who share your faith, care about your journey, and want to walk alongside you as you grow.

#2: Small Groups Help You Grow Spiritually

Groups aren’t just social—they’re spiritual. Each group is designed to help you deepen your relationship with God in a supportive, interactive environment.
On Sundays, we often listen from rows of chairs. In groups, we gather in circles—ready to ask questions, dig deeper into Scripture, and talk about how God is moving in our lives.
Many of our summer groups will be diving into topics from recent Sunday messages, helping you apply the Word to everyday life. It’s a hands-on space for theological, relational, and transformational growth.

#3: Groups Offer Support and Protection

Life happens—and when it does, your group is there. Whether you’re facing a tough week or a major life crisis, you’ll have 6–12 people ready to pray for you, encourage you, and show up with practical help.

From hospital visits to meal trains during family emergencies, your group becomes your lifeline. Why? Because that’s how the Body of Christ works—we build each other up.

At The Heart LA, our groups run seasonally—typically launching in September, February, and now this summer. Each session lasts about 5–7 weeks, giving you a solid window of time to grow, connect, and explore community life without a long-term commitment.
