What is happening on Christmas Eve?

There will be no Christmas Eve Service at The Heart LA Church. Take this time to enjoy some time with friends and family as you celebrate the holiday season. We will meet back for church on Sunday, December 31st for a special New Year's Eve service from 10 pm - 12 am. We will enjoy a meal together, worship, and a time to celebrate the New Year!

We will resume our Sunday morning services in the New Year. Our first service of 2024 will be on Sunday, January 7th. See you there!

Scriptures to Ready on Christmas Eve

One thing you could do on Christmas Eve is to read the Christmas story together. Here are some great passage to read with your family this year. If you're spending Christmas alone, check these out as well! There is power in reading the Word of God.

Luke 1 & 2

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2:8-12

Matthew 1 & 2

But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:20-21

Isaiah 9:6

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

We hope this blog helps you find some great Scriptures to share with your friends and family. We have had such a great year at The Heart La. Remember, we will not be having a Christmas Eve service on December 24, 2023. Spend some time remember all that Jesus as done for you this year.

At the Heart LA, we have so much to celebrate. In 2023, over 50 people decided to follow Jesus. 19 people got water baptized this year! God is on the move. We are so grateful for the greatest gift we could have ever received through Jesus Christ!

Q: Are you having a Christmas service this year?
A: Our main Christmas service was on December 10th. We usually celebrate earlier in the month. We will not have a Christmas Eve service this year.

Q: Will there be church on New Year's Eve?
A: YES! We are having a special evening service from 10 am - 12 am to bring in the New Year! See you there!
