End of the Year Offering

Did you know people show the most generosity at the end of the year? December is when the most donations are given to nonprofits above every other month. What a time to be generous! What a time to have a lifestyle of generosity!

At The Heart LA Church, we take a special offering at the end of the year to give above and beyond the tithe to a certain nonprofit, cause, or need. In 2023, this will be the first year we have organized this offering in such a way to include multiple recipients. 

For this season, we believe God is calling us to build his kingdom first above our own kingdom. Every dollar that is collected in this special offering will go outside the four walls of this church.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Matthew 6:33 NIV

We encourage you to prayerfully consider what you and your family are supposed to give in this end-of-the-year offering. If every adult who attended The Heart LA Church gave $158, we would be able to reach our goal of $10,000.

Who is our generosity going to?

In order to build God's kingdom, we are going to show our generosity to these five different groups below. Each of these partners has been vetted and proven to have a fruitful ministry where they are planted. We are excited and grateful to partner with such amazing individuals and organizations.

Oasis of Hollywood - $1,000

The Oasis of Hollywood is a haven of hope for families in Hollywood. We encourage hope, inspire faith, and develop potential in the lives of at-risk children & youth.

Convoy of Hope - $2,000

Convoy of Hope is a faith-based nonprofit humanitarian and disaster relief organization that provides food, supplies, and humanitarian services to impoverished or otherwise needy populations throughout the world. The organization also engages in disaster relief work.

Project Rescue - $5,000 

Project Rescue exists to rescue and restore victims of sexual slavery through the love and power of God. Since 1997, Project Rescue and its network of ministry partners have been on the front lines of rescuing exploited women and children walking shoulder-to-shoulder with these courageous survivors on their journey toward a new hope-filled future. 

Missionaries Around the World - $2,000

There are two families we plan on sending a Christmas gift to who are serving in sensitive countries where we cannot share with you their information. They are spreading the good news of Jesus and seeing people saved! They are depopulating hell and populating heaven. We are honored to be able to lift up their arms in prayer and support these two families financially this year.

How can I build? 

Pray 

We are a house of prayer. Pray for God’s kingdom around the world. Pray for our team, our pastors, the missionaries we support, and the body of Christ. Prayer is not a last resort, it's our first defense! We believe in the power of prayer. Know that as your pray for God's kingdom, we are praying for YOU as well!

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Build Up Others

The people around you matter. You can build God’s kingdom by pouring into the people who attend this church. Pray for them, love them, and speak life over them. 

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Invest 

Invest with your time, talents, and even your treasures. Prayerfully consider what you can financially give to support the projects listed above. If you would like to give, you can give on our website at theheart.cc/give.

2 Corinthians 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

We will be taking this special offering on Sunday, December 3rd at The Heart LA. You can give on our website and mark the 'Build Your Kingdom' tab on the giving page. We will be collecting this end-of-the-year offering through the month of December.
